About this task
Job Responsibilities
1. Conduct full‑cycle French localization LQA testing for game products and marketing materials, covering story dialogues, in‑game events, open‑world scenes, game system modules, UI interfaces, and other scenarios, to ensure localization quality meets project standards.
2. Cross‑verify translations against in‑game visuals, character animations, lip‑sync, voice‑overs, and subtitles, to guarantee high consistency between texts and overall in‑game presentation.
3. Check translation accuracy, naturalness, terminology consistency, and content completeness in accordance with industry and project acceptance criteria. Identify cultural, religious, political, and other sensitivity risks, and verify cross‑platform display performance across multiple devices.
4. Document detected issues systematically with screenshots, videos, reproduction steps, and optimization suggestions. Coordinate with project teams, and follow up on bug fixes, regression validation, and text integration progress to avoid missing or duplicate reports.
5. Collaborate efficiently with localization, R&D, and QA teams. Provide objective feedback and optimization proposals for complex issues, and maintain well‑organized test records for full traceability.
6. When there are no active LQA testing assignments, undertake Chinese‑to‑French localization translation and machine‑translation post‑editing (MTPE) for game and marketing content.
Job Requirements
1. Excellent bilingual proficiency in Chinese and French with fluent communication. Native‑level French speakers are preferred. Solid command of French grammar, spelling, verb conjugation, punctuation, and writing conventions; strong linguistic intuition and writing capability, capable of independent bilingual communication and formal report writing.
2. Minimum 1‑year working experience in French game localization LQA. Sharp localization judgment to accurately spot translation additions, omissions, semantic deviations, and poor cultural adaptation.
3. Strong comprehension of game world‑building. Able to evaluate whether character lines, tones, and forms of address fit character personas; identify adaptation issues for easter eggs, puns, plot foreshadowing, and other special content.
4. Keen eye for UI layout and multi‑device (PC / mobile) rendering. Quick to detect text truncation, overflow, overlapping elements, and font‑rendering defects.
5. Basic content risk‑control awareness to spot political, religious, cultural, and other sensitivity hazards.
6. Meticulous, responsible, and patient at work. Able to review lengthy literary texts word‑by‑word. Good documentation habits with clear, precise issue descriptions; proactive follow‑up until issues are fully resolved.
7. Passionate about video games with extensive gaming experience. Familiar with game localization and LQA workflows; prior experience testing mobile or console games is a plus.
8. High work efficiency with a daily testing throughput of around 10,000 words, and able to adjust work pace according to text complexity.
