NPI Director/Expert (Power Supply)

About this task

Responsibilities:
1. Take full responsibility for and continuously optimize the complete NPI process from EVT to MP. Establish an efficient and repeatable project management system to ensure projects are delivered on time, to the required quality standards, and within budget.
2. Engage proactively during the customer’s product design stage and lead the team in conducting in-depth DFM analysis. Identify and resolve potential production efficiency, yield, and cost issues at the source, and encourage customers to adopt cost-optimized designs.
3. Lead cross-functional teams in conducting DFMEA, systematically identify potential product design failure modes, develop preventive and detection measures, and establish critical control plans to ensure product quality and reliability from the outset.
4. Establish mechanisms for a smooth transition from NPI to mass production, as well as rapid response and closed-loop management processes for early mass-production issues, ensuring stable ramp-up and quality.
5. Serve as the primary technical interface with customer R&D teams. Participate in customer design reviews and professionally communicate manufacturing capabilities, process requirements, and cost recommendations to strengthen customer relationships.
6. Lead talent-pipeline development and enable team growth.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in power electronics, electronic engineering, or a related field.
2. At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or NPI engineering within the power supply manufacturing industry. Team-management experience is preferred. Experience with a leading AI server power supply company is preferred.
3. Proficiency in design optimization and quality tools such as DFM and DFMEA; in-depth understanding of server power supply manufacturing processes, including SMT, soldering, and assembly; and strong BOM analysis and cost-accounting capabilities.
4. Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior customer stakeholders; strong leadership and problem-solving abilities; a results-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure; strategic thinking and a strong customer-service mindset.
Preferred industry experience: Energy storage, electricity/heat/gas/water utilities, or electrical machinery and equipment.
Work location: Vietnam. Working language: English. Overseas assignment duration: 6-12 months. Salary: 30-60K.

5. 作为与客户研发团队对接的主要技术接口人，参与客户设计评审会议，专业传达制造能力、工艺要求和成本建议，深化客户关系。
6. 主导团队人才梯队建设，赋能团队成长。
任职资格：
1. 电力电子、电子工程或相关专业本科及以上学历。
2. 具有8年以上电源制造业制造工程或NPI工程相关经验，有团队管理经验者优先；具有AI服务器电源头部企业背景者优先。
3. 精通DFM、DFMEA等设计优化和质量工具；深入理解服务器电源制造工艺，包括SMT、焊接和装配等；具备良好的BOM分析及成本核算能力。
4. 具备良好的沟通与协调能力，能够与客户高层进行高效沟通；具备较强的领导力和问题解决能力；结果导向，能够在高压环境下管理多个项目；具备战略思维和客户服务意识。
加分项：具有储能、电力/热力/燃气/水利或电气机械/器材行业经验。
