Video Game Proofreader

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Proofread video game text for spelling, syntax, typography, and consistency.
- Recommend necessary textual changes and prepare error reports.
- Perform minor translations and verify that subtitles match their audio tracks.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in at least one listed target language and excellent written and spoken English.
- Residence in the Montréal area and authorization to work in Canada.
- Availability to work from home or in the office according to project requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and use computers, game consoles, and touchscreens.
- Interest in video games; related proofreading experience is an asset.
- On-call freelance contract paying $19.15 per hour, plus $2.50 per hour after 7:00 PM.
