Video Game Linguist/Translator (French)

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Translate and post-edit video game content from English into European French, including user interfaces, dialogue, narrative text, help content, and marketing materials.
- Proofread and perform linguistic quality assurance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural authenticity.
- Collaborate remotely with localization project managers and linguistic teams.

Requirements:
- Native-level European French and excellent English.
- At least three years of professional localization experience, preferably involving video games.
- Experience with machine translation post-editing workflows.
- memoQ proficiency is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and enthusiasm for gaming.
- Ability to receive payment in Japanese yen and provide rates in JPY for translation, proofreading, and MTPE.
