EU Spanish Linguist / Translator - Gaming

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Translate in-game text, user interfaces, legally relevant text, and supporting materials from English into Spanish according to client guidelines, approved terminology, tone, and style.
- Edit and review translations for linguistic accuracy, consistency, natural flow, and cultural relevance.
- Maintain glossaries, style guides, and character profiles.
- Meet project deadlines and productivity targets while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with other translators and resolve localization issues and bugs identified during review or testing.
- Track work and respond to localization queries using CAT and project management tools.
- Follow security, confidentiality, GDPR, quality, and health and safety requirements.

Requirements:
- Exceptional proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Strong cultural understanding of Spanish-speaking markets.
- One to three years of translation, localization, or related language-services experience; game localization experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with CAT tools such as memoQ, Trados, or XTM and familiarity with workflow platforms such as JIRA or Plunet.
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Must be located in Portugal.
