Audio Editor

About this task

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:
- Sync recorded vocals with mouth movements in video.
- Record, edit, mix and finish audio; clean raw files by removing noise, glitches, inconsistencies and mistakes.
- Work with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain the sound, tone and style of shows.
- Monitor sound quality and dynamics, and suggest creative improvements.
- Use templates where possible to improve efficiency.
- Maintain a tracking system for recordings and ensure finished work is delivered on time.
- Manage multiple projects at different stages of completion.

Requirements:
- Experience in audio post-production, preferably editing audiobooks and podcasts; prior music-editing experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Recording Arts or a related field, and a portfolio of previous work.
- Proficiency in music and video editing software, with technical skills in mixing, scoring and editing.
- Ability to distinguish notes and melodies, recognize musical tones, and balance audio with visuals.
- Attention to detail, creativity, organization, communication and coordination skills; ability to prioritize and work quickly to deadlines.
- Windows 10/11 with a 64-bit Intel Core processor (i3 2GHz or faster recommended), or macOS 10.15 Catalina or later with an M2, M1 or Intel dual-core i5 or faster processor.
- At least 8 GB RAM, 2 GB graphics support, dual monitors and fast internet.
