Caption and Subtitle Translator - Native Polish

About this task

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:
- Translate captions, subtitles, documents, web pages and software content.
- Post-edit machine translations to correct cultural and translation issues, and perform transcreation where needed.
- Adapt translations to word limits without changing their meaning.
- Maintain a translation database using translation management software.
- Provide quality assurance throughout the translation process.
- Use media and translation software, resolve localization and cultural issues, and provide translation services to other departments.
- Implement feedback and requested changes where possible.

Requirements:
- Native Polish proficiency and fluency in at least two of the target languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or linguistics and at least four years of translation experience.
- Proficiency with translation management systems and knowledge of translation processes, terminology, localization techniques, guidelines and standards.
- Ability to translate written materials into another language; excellent translation, writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines. Additional certification in linguistics is a plus.
