Literary Content Localization & Creative Writing Specialist

Work location: Remote, United States
Engagement: Freelance / independent contractor
Workload: Approximately 3 hours total, with a flexible schedule; available to complete the assignment as soon as possible
Rate: $50/hr

Responsibilities:
- Adapt literary content for North American readers, including language, dialogue and cultural references.
- Review and improve plotlines, character development, pacing and narrative flow.
- Evaluate the quality and readability of novels, scripts and other narrative content.
- Support novel-to-script adaptations and script reviews.
- Perform content labeling and quality evaluation, and provide feedback to improve the reader experience.

Requirements:
- North American English fluency, excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
- Extended experience living, studying or working in North America, with a strong understanding of its culture, idioms and writing conventions.
- Experience in creative writing, screenwriting, editing or another storytelling field; ability to analyze and improve narrative structure.
- Availability to complete the short assignment promptly.

Preferred:
- Familiarity with overseas short-drama platforms or experience adapting content for different audiences.
- Experience with AI data labeling, content moderation, model evaluation or prompt writing.
- Chinese proficiency or a background in publishing, editing or journalism.
