English to Turkish MTPE & AI Translation Evaluator (Software Localization)

About this task

Freelance English to Turkish Software Localization MT/LLM Evaluator

Location and employment: Remote; applicants must reside in a US, Canada or Latin America time zone. Freelance / independent contractor.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate machine-translated and AI-generated Turkish content for accuracy, fluency and usability; determine whether it is publication-ready or needs post-editing.
- Identify and classify mistranslations, omissions, additions, AI hallucinations, grammar, spelling, terminology, tone, formatting and localization errors.
- Check approved terminology and style guides, including the handling of variables, placeholders, UI strings and technical documentation.
- Provide linguistic feedback to improve translation quality and collaborate with localization managers, quality leads and project teams.

Requirements:
- Native-level Turkish (Turkey) and excellent written English.
- At least five years of professional freelance experience in software localization, IT translation, MT evaluation, MT post-editing or AI translation review.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Localization or a related field.
- Knowledge of software localization workflows and the ability to assess translation quality independently and consistently.
- Experience with technology companies, software vendors, SaaS providers or enterprise IT organizations is preferred.

Work arrangement: Flexible remote hours around project deadlines; potential for ongoing, periodic assignments.
