Literary Transcreator - Tibetan - Remote

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Adapt literary text from English into Tibetan while preserving its idealistic, visionary and reflective tone.
- Complete a paid sample transcreation based on a source-text excerpt as part of selection.
- Adapt material spanning subjects such as molecular biology, macroeconomics, political science, ethics and philosophy while preserving the author's voice and register.
- Work from the source text without departing into original creative writing.

Requirements:
- Native-level Tibetan fluency and strong writing skills.
- Demonstrable literary translation or transcreation experience, ideally involving adaptation of voice and tone rather than literal translation.
- Strong command of style, tone and structure appropriate to reflective literary prose.
- Familiarity with ethics, philosophy and AI or technology is preferred.

Work arrangement:
- Remote independent-contractor work with flexible, project-dependent hours; hours are not guaranteed. Most tasks require availability of at least two hours per day or ten hours per week.
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and do not receive employee benefits.
