Japanese Linguist/Reviewer (Contractor)

About this task

Remote, freelance contractor role for a native Japanese speaker based in the United States or elsewhere in North America. Fluency in written and spoken English and at least three years of professional translation, localization, or translation-review experience are required.

Review and revise Japanese AI- or machine-translated files in Phrase TMS. Edit translated print and digital materials, or provide feedback on them, to ensure accuracy, natural phrasing, consistent terminology and appropriate style. Use project glossaries, style guides and translation memories; flag quality, scope or timeline concerns; meet agreed deadlines; and coordinate with the translation team. Share project files through Box and occasionally join project-related video calls.
