Belgian French (frBE) Multimedia Content Reviewer

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Localize, translate and adapt multimedia, legal, technical and marketing content in Belgian French according to style guides and project guidelines.
- Write copy for music, television, app-store apps, video-on-demand and game subscription products.
- Review and edit your own work and other team members’ content; fact-check copy and flag linguistic or cultural issues.
- Perform localization QA on published content, including app and music descriptions, marketing materials and campaigns.
- Research local content preferences, terminology and localization practices for the target market.
- Transcribe spoken content, including lyrics, and report on data or assets across media types.
- Review linguistic assessments, prepare project training materials and share terminology and style guidance with the localization team.
- Collaborate remotely with the global language team through meetings and email.

Requirements:
- Native-level Belgian French and fluent written and spoken English.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in journalism, copywriting or copyediting media content, with writing samples.
- Experience translating and localizing multimedia content; strong creative writing and editorial judgment.
- Knowledge of music, television, film, gaming and popular culture.
- Ability to spot inconsistencies, make sound linguistic decisions, manage competing deadlines and work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong computer skills; familiarity with iOS and macOS is a plus.
- Ability to type in Belgian French using a local English keyboard.
