EU Spanish Linguist / Translator - Remote Gaming

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Translate in-game text, user interfaces, legally relevant text, and supporting materials from English into EU Spanish in accordance with client guidelines, approved terminology, tone, and style.
- Revise and review translations for linguistic accuracy, consistency, natural flow, and cultural suitability.
- Perform creative localization and maintain glossaries, style guides, and character profiles.
- Meet project deadlines and productivity targets while maintaining quality throughout the localization pipeline.
- Collaborate with other translators, resolve localization issues and testing bugs, manage linguistic queries, and support translator onboarding when required.
- Use CAT and workflow tools to track work and maintain project visibility.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in EU Spanish and English, with a strong understanding of the EU Spanish market.
- Must be located in the UK and able to work remotely on a fixed-term contract.
- One to three years of translation, localization, or related language-services experience; game localization experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with CAT tools such as memoQ, Trados, or XTM and familiarity with workflow platforms such as JIRA or Plunet.
- Excellent linguistic accuracy, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and deadline-management skills.
- Ability to follow security, confidentiality, GDPR, quality, IT, HR, and health and safety requirements.
