About this task

Position: Freelance Japanese-to-Korean Patent Translator (Remote)

Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread technical and pharmaceutical patent documents from Japanese into Korean.
- Collaborate with project managers to finalize translations for clients.

Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and Korean, with subject-matter expertise in technical or pharmaceutical patents.
- Strong attention to detail, spelling and grammar; ability to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines.
- Meet one of the following: a degree in translation, linguistics or language studies with substantial translation training; two years of translation experience and a college degree; five years of translation experience without a college degree; or a translation competency certificate from an appropriate government body.
- Complete translation, machine-translation post-editing and proofreading/quality-management tests, and sign a confidentiality agreement.
