About this task
Location and contract:
- Based in London, Brussels or the Netherlands, with a three-day-per-week hybrid office schedule.
- Initially a fixed-term contract, with potential to become permanent.
- Base pay range: €40,000 - €45,000.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and improve English-to-Dutch translations of financial, business and economic news.
- Lead R&D and linguistic QA for the machine translation engine, review data-strategy QA results and audit output daily.
- Define correction policies to maintain editorial standards for Dutch-language products.
- Build and maintain glossaries and terminology databases for financial and economic content.
- Develop and refine prompts to improve the style, tone and accuracy of automated news feeds.
- Work with Product, Editorial and Data Strategy colleagues to improve translation quality and workflows.
- Map third-party content for the Dutch-language offering and translate automated content templates.
Requirements:
- Native-level Dutch (C2) and expertise in English-to-Dutch financial translation.
- Experience in linguistic quality assurance (LQA) and machine translation post-editing (MTPE).
- Proficiency with CAT tools and terminology databases.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI, LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Experience in a newsroom or similarly demanding editorial environment is preferred.
