Data and Annotation Engineer

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Validate, ingest, and map the incoming corpus to the project ontology, and produce corpus readiness documentation.
- Configure and operate the CVAT annotation pipeline and support self-service and assisted annotation workflows.
- Create a demonstration corpus using synthetic and mission-aligned data.
- Support quality-control execution and annotation dry runs, and associate provenance records with annotated and synthetic outputs.

Requirements:
- Five or more years of professional experience, including three or more years in data engineering or annotation operations.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating CVAT is required.
- A bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may substitute.
- Hybrid role in Washington, D.C.; the program includes an intensive 20-week phase. Pay is $55 to $60 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
