About this task
As a Technical Writer, you'll be embedded within product teams, taking full ownership of documentation for key areas of the platform. You'll work alongside engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and closely aligned with the product experience. You'll become a subject matter expert and shape the developer journey through high-impact content.
You'll also help maintain and configure the infrastructure that supports documentation publishing. Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting failing GitHub Actions workflows, reading CI logs, isolating breaking changes, and restoring successful builds.
- Reviewing and merging contributions from engineers and the wider community, and maintaining branches and versioned documentation releases.
- Diagnosing broken links, redirects, MDX and rendering errors, and search indexing issues across current and versioned content.
- Handling Docusaurus, Node, and dependency upgrades, and resolving related issues.
- Improving tooling, automation, and linting to keep publishing fast and predictable.
You do not need to be a full-time developer, but should be confident with Git and GitHub workflows, the command line, YAML and JavaScript-based configuration, Markdown/MDX, and reading error traces.
Work arrangement: Fully remote. Listed hiring locations: United States and Canada.
