Spanish Bilingual Interpreter (Remote)

About this task

Remote position for applicants based in the Philippines only. Provide English–Spanish over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI) across healthcare, legal, financial services, and customer service settings. Comprehensive paid training is provided.

Responsibilities:
- Provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.
- Preserve accuracy, clarity, neutrality, tone, intent, and emotion.
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
- Manage call flow professionally, requesting clarification when needed.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence in high-pressure or emotionally charged interactions.
- Use short-term memory retention, active listening, and note-taking techniques to manage longer exchanges.

Requirements:
- Professional-level fluency in English and Spanish, with experience using these languages in a professional call center-style setting.
- Ability to interpret complex conversations quickly and precisely, including idiomatic expressions, specialized terminology, and emotionally nuanced content.
- Strong active listening, emotional control, professionalism, empathy, and adaptability.
- Ability to handle continuous live calls under pressure while following interpretation protocols.
