About this task

Provide professional Chinese-English linguistic support across translation, interpretation, transcription, and summarization. The position is based on-site in Vienna, Virginia.

Responsibilities:
- Translate written materials between Chinese and English, preserving meaning, intent, tone, cultural nuances, and subject-specific terminology.
- Produce clear, accurate, polished translations that remain faithful to the source.
- Provide consecutive interpretation and simultaneous interpretation when required.
- Support meetings, interviews, briefings, and operational activities with accurate real-time interpretation.
- Accurately transcribe audio, video, and internet-based content and produce English-language reports from foreign-language materials.
- Identify and summarize key facts, themes, and operationally significant information.
- Use research tools and reference materials to support high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph; clearance must be fully adjudicated before work begins.
- Successful completion of required language assessments.
- Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to handle regional dialects, colloquialisms, cultural references, and language variations accurately.

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
