Italian Audio Transcript Editor (AI Training)

About this task

Edit and correct Italian audio transcripts used to train AI speech systems. This is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract role requiring 10–40 hours per week. Work is independent and asynchronous.

Responsibilities:
- Listen to Italian audio recordings and compare them with existing transcripts.
- Correct word-level errors, including misspellings, missing words, punctuation, and misheard phrases.
- Adjust and verify transcript segment timing and alignment.
- Follow detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently.
- Flag poor audio quality, ambiguous speech, and segments requiring further review.
- Maintain high accuracy across large volumes of transcription tasks.

Requirements:
- Native or near-native Italian fluency, including awareness of nuances, dialects, and colloquialisms.
- Excellent listening skills and patience when replaying difficult passages.
- Strong attention to words, spacing, timestamps, and formatting.
- Reliability and self-motivation when completing repetitive, precision-focused work independently.
- Proficiency with computer-based tools and web platforms.
- No AI background is required.

Preferred experience includes transcription, court reporting, stenography, subtitle editing, closed-captioning, audio post-production, linguistics, phonetics, language annotation, data labeling platforms, AI training workflows, translation, localization, or editorial work. Familiarity with Italian regional dialects and informal speech is also helpful.

Compensation: 10 USD/hr - 35 USD/hr.
