Brazilian Portuguese Audio Transcriptionist (AI Training)

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Listen to Brazilian Portuguese audio recordings and produce accurate, detailed transcriptions for AI training.
- Transcribe overlapping speakers, background noise, filled pauses, informal speech, and regional expressions.
- Identify and differentiate multiple speakers within a recording.
- Follow detailed transcription style and formatting guidelines consistently.
- Apply annotation conventions for non-verbal sounds, inaudible segments, and other markers.
- Maintain quality and accuracy across high volumes of audio and flag ambiguous or problematic segments with structured notes.

Requirements:
- Native-level Brazilian Portuguese with strong understanding of natural speech patterns, regional accents, and colloquial expressions.
- Exceptional listening skills, strong written Portuguese, and fast, accurate typing.
- Attention to detail and patience when working through difficult audio.
- Ability to apply detailed guidelines consistently and work independently and asynchronously.
- No prior AI experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional experience in transcription, court reporting, or stenography.
- Experience with subtitles, closed-captioning, or audio editing.
- Linguistics education or training in phonetics, discourse analysis, or language documentation.
- Experience with annotation platforms, data labeling tools, or AI training pipelines.
- Familiarity with Brazilian regional accents and multi-speaker or interview-format audio.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Brazilian Portuguese.

Work Details:
- Fully remote, flexible hourly contract with an independent schedule.
- Commitment: 10–40 hours per week.
- Pay: 10 USD/hr - 35 USD/hr.
