Translator (Bilingual - English/French)

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Translate documents, correspondence, and other materials from English to French (90%) and French to English (10%).
- Ensure accurate transfer of meaning between languages and consistent terminology across documents.
- Translate materials related to life insurance and mutual fund investment products, including legal documents, marketing materials, internal communications, management reports, presentations, and client correspondence.
- Translate software as required and revise internally and externally translated documents.
- Manage multiple assignments and changing priorities while meeting short deadlines.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in translation, or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through related work experience.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Strong computer competency, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with terminological databases.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work professionally with others.
- Knowledge of technical terminology in the life insurance and mutual fund industries and membership in a professional translation organization are assets.

Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000
