Freelance English-to-Simplified Chinese CTD Language Lead

About this task

This is a remote freelance Language Lead position open to candidates worldwide, covering English-to-Simplified Chinese (China) life sciences documents in CTD Quality, CTD Non-Clinical, and CTD Clinical.

Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread life sciences documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client and regulatory terminology.
- Serve as the client-facing linguistic point of contact.
- Investigate client complaints and quality issues, identify root causes, and provide documented responses and corrective actions.
- Maintain language quality standards and manage translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on project requirements, scope, timelines, and client expectations.
- Gather and incorporate client feedback.
- Coordinate and guide linguists, assign work, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to client requirements and quality standards.

Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (China).
- Expertise in one or more of the specified CTD fields.
- Strong attention to spelling, grammar, and detail.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong client communication skills and ability to handle complaints constructively and diplomatically.
- Ability to manage, mentor, and provide clear feedback to linguists.
- Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
