Russian-English Translator & Editor

About this task

Permanent, full-time position: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 depending on experience.
Hybrid working with a minimum of one day per week in the office; applications are also accepted from remote UK-based candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Translate, edit and proofread Russian-to-English content, primarily covering iGaming, including online casinos and sports betting.
- Complete linguistic quality assessments of translation samples and provide constructive feedback to freelance collaborators.
- Assess source texts and flag linguistic issues.
- Verify and finalise task scope, liaising directly with clients where required.
- Reconcile edits with other linguists and proactively communicate task progress to project and senior managers.

Requirements:
- Native-level English and advanced Russian.
- Translation qualifications through one of the following: a translation or language-related degree; a degree in any subject plus two years of full-time professional translation experience; or five years of full-time professional translation experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Familiarity with CAT tools, including memoQ and other localisation software.
- Ability to receive and act on constructive feedback and manage multiple time-sensitive linguistic tasks.
