Freelance English into Simplified Chinese (China) CTD Module Language Lead

About this task

Remote freelance Language Lead position open to candidates worldwide, working from English into Simplified Chinese (China) on CTD Quality, CTD Non-Clinical, and CTD Clinical documents.

Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread life science documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client and regulatory terminology.
- Serve as the client-facing linguistic point of contact and maintain language quality standards across projects and accounts.
- Investigate client complaints and quality issues, determine root causes, and provide documented responses and corrective actions.
- Maintain translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
- Coordinate with Project Managers on requirements, scope, timelines, and client expectations.
- Gather client feedback and incorporate it into ongoing and future work.
- Assign work to linguists, provide guidance and feedback, and ensure adherence to client requirements and quality standards.

Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (China).
- Expertise in one or more of the specified CTD fields.
- Strong attention to spelling, grammar, and detail.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong client communication skills and the ability to handle complaints and feedback diplomatically.
- Ability to manage and mentor linguists, organize work, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
