English-to-Estonian Patent Linguist

About this task

Translate patent-related content from English into Estonian, preserving the original meaning in clear, readable language. The subject areas include electricity, computer science, and chemistry. Work may include translation, machine-translation post-editing, copy editing, and quality control. Expected weighted volume is 2,000–5,000 words per week. The project uses XTM for translation and JIRA for quality control.

Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in Estonian.
- At least two years of experience translating and reviewing patent content.
- A degree in linguistics or translation, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to translate, copy edit, and perform machine-translation post-editing.
- Ability to follow project instructions and communicate promptly in English.
