Experienced Spanish Interpreter

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate consecutive English-Spanish interpretation, beginning with over-the-phone interpretation and with a pathway to video remote interpretation.
- Interpret primarily in medical settings, as well as social services, customer care, and financial settings, while maintaining impartiality and confidentiality.

Requirements:
- Applicants may be based anywhere in Latin America; this listing specifies Colombia.
- At least 6–12 months of remote medical interpretation experience and C1 English proficiency, demonstrated through EF SET 4-Skill, TOEFL, or CAE.
- Medical and customer-service terminology knowledge; HIPAA and FWA certification or willingness to obtain them; and a clean background check.
- Hardwired Ethernet, a USB noise-canceling headset, Windows 10 or later with at least 4 GB RAM, and a private, quiet workspace.
- Flexible hours subject to monthly minimum interpreted minutes. Compensation is per minute, with performance bonuses.
