English-to-German Linguist and Copy Editor

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Translate and copy-edit English content into German (Germany and/or Switzerland) for marketing, user interface, product, support, informational, and light legal materials.
- Use the client-specific CAT tool and deliver accurate, polished work to agreed deadlines.
- Review revisions and communicate responsively with project stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Native-level German proficiency (de-DE and/or de-CH) and excellent command of US English.
- At least 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field, or at least 5 years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.
- Demonstrated English-to-German translation experience across varied content types.
- Experience using CAT tools, attention to detail, reliability, and openness to feedback.
