Freelance Subtitle Translator and Quality Reviewer

About this task

Responsibilities:
- Translate and subtitle audiovisual trailers according to client-specific guidelines, delivering subtitle files in SRT format.
- Translate on-screen text, forced narratives, key artwork text, and digital banners.
- Perform quality assurance on subtitles completed by other freelancers.

Requirements:
- Native fluency in at least one of Dutch, Khmer, Latvian, Kazakh, Traditional Chinese, Traditional Chinese for Taiwan, or Czech.
- High level of English and at least five years of subtitling experience.
- Experience with Subtitle Edit, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and respond to feedback.
- Familiarity with Jira and a portfolio or work samples are advantages.
- Freelance remote work is seasonal, with higher volume in the fourth and first quarters; availability for at least two titles per week is requested during the busy season. Expected project period: September 2026 to April 2027.
