Arabic-Chaldean Linguist

About this task

Transcribe live or recorded communications from Arabic-Chaldean into English to support law enforcement work. Produce accurate, court-ready written products, verbal and written synopses, transcriptions, and translations as required. Identify, decode, and document colloquialisms, slang, and coded language, and extract pertinent information for law enforcement personnel. Communicate relevant information to client personnel in a timely manner.

Requirements include the ability to obtain or hold Public Trust clearance, strong interpersonal and professional communication skills, and the ability to work independently with accuracy and professionalism. Travel to client sites is required. The position is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, and is eligible for overtime.
