Freelance Creative Marketing Translator and Transcreator — Spanish (Ecuador)

Remote freelance / independent contractor opportunity supporting ongoing marketing, entertainment and multimedia localization projects.

Language pair: English to Spanish for Ecuador.
Engagement: Project-based with ongoing opportunities.
Compensation: Paid freelance work; compensation depends on the candidate's proposed rates and project requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Translate and creatively adapt marketing, entertainment and multimedia content for Ecuadorian audiences while preserving brand voice, creative intent and marketing impact.
- Collaborate with internal and linguistic teams to ensure high-quality output across platforms.
- Research cultural nuances to produce culturally relevant rather than merely literal translations.
- Review marketing projects and provide feedback.

Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Ecuadorian Spanish and a strong understanding of Ecuadorian culture, consumer behavior and marketing communication styles.
- At least 3 years of translation and creative transcreation experience, preferably in marketing.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Marketing, Linguistics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and ability to adapt tone and style to brand guidelines.

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with entertainment or global brand content.
- Experience translating or transcreating TV series and movie synopses, localized titles, PR and other entertainment-related creative content.
- Experience with CAT tools.
