Position: Chinese Medical OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation during telephone and video sessions.
- Interpret verbal communication between Chinese-speaking patients and healthcare providers.
- Accurately interpret complex medical terminology in Chinese and English.
- Facilitate mutual understanding between healthcare professionals and patients with cultural sensitivity.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable legal, ethical, and privacy standards.

Requirements:
- Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English.
- Proven medical interpretation experience and previous work as a medical interpreter or in a healthcare setting.
- Medical interpretation certification or accreditation is mandatory; examples include CCHI and NBCMI.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology in both languages.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain professional in high-pressure situations.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
