Freelance English-to-Chinese (Simplified and/or Traditional) Legal Translator and/or Editor
Location: Remote, United States
Employment type: Freelance / contract, ongoing as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Translate and/or edit legal documentation from English into Simplified and/or Traditional Chinese.
- Apply accurate U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology and deliver high-quality written work remotely.

Requirements:
- At least three years of professional legal translation and/or editing experience.
- Native-level Chinese and English writing skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology in English and Chinese.
- Bachelor's degree in a foreign language, linguistics, translation, or a comparable field.
- Experience using computer-assisted translation tools; Trados experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- U.S. citizenship and willingness to complete security clearance processing, including fingerprinting, if selected.

Availability:
- Generally available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on most weekdays.
- Able to accept on-demand assignments totaling approximately 10–15 hours per week, as needed.
