CN-EN Game localization Specialist

About this task

Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for Chinese-to-English localization translation and review for game projects, including in-game text, event content, system copy, announcements, and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy, naturalness, and alignment with native English usage.
2. Develop and continuously refine English language standards, including style guides, terminology databases, naming conventions, and localization standards, to ensure a consistent overall tone and style.
3. Participate in English voice-over recording and studio supervision, working closely with the production team, voice director, and actors to maintain line quality and ensure character delivery and emotional expression align with the intended characterization.
4. Collaborate with planning, writing, operations, marketing, and other teams to provide localization and cultural adaptation recommendations based on the game’s worldbuilding and product positioning.
5. Follow up on the linguistic quality of live content, continuously improve translation strategies based on player feedback, and enhance text quality and acceptance in overseas markets.

Requirements:
1. 3–5+ years of experience in the gaming industry, with excellent professional proficiency in both Chinese and English, and prior game localization experience.
2. Familiar with overseas cultures and trends; native English speaker required.
3. Detail-oriented, conscientious, and highly sensitive to issues in translation and testing.
4. Extensive experience with multilingual games and familiarity with multilingual content design in games.
